I thought it is about time to post some pictures of projects, mostly because I would like to see that I have had progress on some of the many projects which I have started and left for the UFO bin.
This is positive reinforcement that I have truly completed something, be it that is was a new endeavor or an old tossed in the bin project, that I intended on completing. This purse, bag; however you view it; was completed from the HIA <Hatched in Africa> class in Fredericksburg. I used upholstery/home decor fabric which was a woven damask patterned fabric with a heavy weft to the feel.

Sewing is what I want to do today, yet here I sit on the computer watching the feline wonder called "baby cat" snoozing on the couch and wonder if I too should join her? While our other big girl cat "Smokie Jo" is snoring so loud in the family room I am sure the neighbors can hear her.
Life is quiet today on the FunnyFarm, as we call it here. I don't have much to muse about so I will cut this post short as I look for more sewing bloggers with the same interest.
My sewing good deed today is that I finally attempted to correct the "yellow dress" that has been on the dress form for well over 6 years (mainly because way too small, yet the linen was beautiful). Perhaps posting a picture will serve a purpose-so look for the pic later.
I have decided that if it served no purpose it must go. Keeping it as a reminder to the fact I will never fit it because it barely went over my head much less over my shoulders was a testament that I need to modify patterns & not assume the measurements are right on from the pattern envelope. Lesson tidbit-learned point!
Now on to the next project & perhaps I shall complete one of the many UFOs in my sewing studio.
